2012 Qualifying Session Dates Released!

TAG set the 2012 dates for those wishing to Qualify for Membership. All dates will have a 30 minute session available from 9am-3pm.

February 24 & 25, 2012,  

May 2 & 3,  2012

August 22 & 23, 2012

November 2 & 3, 2012  

Please note you must request a time slot via email at telegrouptag@gmail.com 

Please only request a session if you are already a seasoned Actor highly skilled with teleprompters. A 30 minute slot will be alloted per level on one available day.  First come/serve sign ups. Agent requests take priority. In order to become a TAG Member you must already be proficient with Teleprompters.

Lauri Plesco Ross is interviewed live by future broadcasters of Georgia via Skills USA and the New Media Education Foundation of Georgia (NMEFGA). Lauri has been elected as a Board Member of NMEFGA and is working closely with the Georgia Department of Education to provide alignment with criteria for teleprompting and public speaking skills. She is on a mission to create the opportunity for every public school in Georgia to have teleprompters, presidentials and public speaking coaching with teleprompters so that they can communicate effectively in any job they may seek.

“Body language and communication are the primary fundamental skills you will need to hone in on when seeking a job. The first thing you are judged on is your body language and presentation skills. If you can master public speaking, it is one of the single most important abilities you may have in achieving success in your career. Teleprompters and Presidentials are great tools to master in most any career you choose as many new businesses require web-based conferences, public speaking, campaigning, sales and much more,” is what Lauri Plesco Ross told us on why she is so passionate about this project.

The little things

Somedays I feel like I just don’t get anything done… looking back, today I added a new TAG Member (cute 70 yr old woman!), readjusted the TAG spreadsheets for 3 Talent Agencies and sent them updates on their TAG Actors, sent the updates to my webmaster, talked to Jodi Marks about our Hosting workshop on the 20th, emailed all the Actors coming to the Hosting workshop details on the class, tried coordinating with noncommital teleprompter operators, booked gigs, prompters…. and (BREATHE!) … my desk is still swarming with papers and things to do!

I guess our work is never done, eh? Looking back, I guess I did quite a bit today, even if it wasn’t everything I wish I could do. But that’s the life of an ever evolving new and innovative business that is treading new waters and making waves! …and then there’s tomorrow! (sigh)
